Little Adventures.

On our way to the park yesterday.
Everyday I try to take Riley somewhere, anywhere. We rarely stay in the house all day. Unlike the first few months of her life. I remember being too scared to go out with Riley by myself. When Leif would come home from work though I'd beg him to take us out. Even though he'd be tired from work he would. Good man:) Of course now I'm not afraid to take Riley out. Although, I think taking a toddler out while being 8 and a half months pregnant might be a little harder than taking out an infant.

Everyday, I look forward to our little adventures as I like to call them. Even if it is just a trip to Target or a stop at McDonalds for french fries. I cherish these times with Riley. Lately its been raining a lot, so we haven't been able to go to the park everyday like we had been doing. That means our adventures are trips to Safeway, Borders and/or the aquarium. I think my favorite so far has been the aquarium because Riley is able to run around, climb things, push buttons, see fish and get wet. And its usually empty so we get the place all to ourselves.
I was taking a break from chasing Riley around.
Riley has been teething. Her 13th tooth just broke through.
She just stood there for a few seconds watching the fish. It was cute.
Her favorite place to have a snack. A clam.

These times are so special to me. Instead of worrying about cleaning the house and what to make for dinner, I get to just enjoy my baby. These are the moments that I keep and remember. These last three weeks before Beck gets here are going to fly by, but I'm savoring every minute alone with Riley. I'll miss when it was just the two of us, but I'm thrilled that Beck will get to join in on our fun:)

We made a fort!

I was inspired by this post: The Fort to make my own fort tonight. The post reminded me of the many hours my sister and I would spend under blankets in our room, on our bunk bed, and anywhere else we could make forts. We always had peanut-butter crackers, our dolls and our pillows with us. I miss those times... So I thought maybe I could start a new tradition with Leif and Riley? I threw a blanket over the couch and two chairs just to see how Riley would like it. She thought it was fun, and so did Leif:)

I have plans for a bigger and better fort:)

Exploring.

The other evening while out on a walk, we discovered a wonderful field. It's actually on the other side of our street. I fell in love. I think I'm going to take everyone there. I see myself spending time with God up there and having a few picnics. Standing at the top of the field and looking out was beautiful. It basically left me in awe of God's creation. I like when that happens.

*About the giveaway, Leif is picking the winner so he'll post it tonight:)
