How we spent mothers day.
Well Leif wanted to make me breakfast but we were out of eggs so instead
we went to Dennys for breakfast. Its one of my favorite places to go. I love pancake puppies.
After Dennys we had to sign papers for the car, which wasn't so bad. It was kind of nerve racking actually. Buying a car is a big decision and commitment!
We lounged around a lot of the day. Leif worked on the other car and it now runs wonderfully.
We're trying to decide if we want to have two cars or sell the old car and just have one.
We got to go to our favorite beach and hang out a bit. The weather originally had been cloudy with some drizzle but by 5 it had cleared and we got to watch the sun set over the ocean. Praise Jesus.
I prayed the sun would come out so we could celebrate at the beach!

My Favourite Book.
I think Leif is wonderful in so many ways. I'm a blessed woman to be able to call him my best friend and my husband. I've always loved Valentines Day, even though the majority of them I spent single. I'm pretty sure Leif was the first person I actually celebrated with. Valentines Day to me, is such a great reminder to tell close friends & family that we love them. Yes, we should be doing that on a daily basis but sometimes it gets forgotten... Then we have Valentines Day to remind us! Besides getting me two great presents that I wanted badly & I opened early, Leif spent the whole weekend helping me out in any way that he could. I was able to sleep in, take naps in the middle of the day, not worry about all the cooking or cleaning. He devoted this whole weekend to me, and could care less that he didn't get a big present or a big Valentines meal like I had originally planned. He just wanted to make sure I knew how loved I was. &I did feel so very loved. One of our songs.
My Favourite Book.
I wish there was a better live version but this will have to do:)

Christmas in Oregon.
Leif and I drove up to Oregon on Christmas eve to surprise his mom:) The drive went surprisingly well! Riley played and slept most of the time. I've been so excited about this trip and wanted to blog about it, but since my mother in law reads my blog that wasn't possible. We've been having a lot of fun up here and its great that Riley is able to spend time with her grandparents and aunts. Here are some pictures from the last few days:

I'll post more later, most likely when we're back in California:)
So thankful we're here!

Gratitude Thursday: Happy Christmas Eve.
How cute is Riley?I can't believe she's turning 13 months tomorrow and in 8 short weeks
she's going to be a big sister:)!
HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE!
I am thankful that we'll be spending most of our Christmas Eve in the car together:)
I'm looking forward to taking photos, playing with Riley, eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, listening to lots of music and having wonderful discussions with my husband. I really do enjoy long car rides with my family.
