We're Moving!

Like the blog subject reads: We're moving!
Remember my blog post about how a New Season was upon us?
Well it is!

Dreams come true, we are moving to Oregon :)
Where our hearts have been since we started dating.
Where we decided we wanted to raise our family when we had kids.
Where we wanted to buy a house.

It hasn't set in really.
Although we move in 11 days. Yes, 11 days!
I'm in a daze.
Although my house is slowly filling up with boxes and we've been eating on paper plates.
I still can't believe we're about to move to another state.

I haven't really reached the point of excitement yet.
I just hope I can make it through the day.
Theres so much to pack, photos to finish editing, people to see... so forth.

We already have our apartment.
That's one less thing to worry about.
I'm not excited about our new place, but its only for a year.
Or so we think/hope.
Leif really wants to buy a house sooner than later so we're really downsizing.
Our rent in Oregon is more than half of what it is here in California.
Crazy right?!

We told Riley she was going to be living near Grandma and Grandpa J. and everyday she asks
if we're going to our new house yet :)

I'm so thankful that the door was open for Leif to get a new job in Oregon.
I'm thankful that we'll be so close to family, and that the kids will be around their grandparents and aunts.
I'm thankful that I'll get to be surrounded by friends I miss so much.
I'm thankful for the change that will be happening to our family and the new adventures we have ahead of us.

That is a blessing indeed to have friends and family so close! Congrats on your move and new beginnings where you will set down permanent roots! It's always a good thing when things finally start to fall into place (well, as far as WE would like it to since God always has a plan whether it's within our timeline or not). :)

Happy for you and the family and looking forward to hearing about your move once you're all settled in. Hopefully this will also help with your depression. Nothing like being around those who love you (and show it physically) to lift your spirits.

Good luck to you!

Margaret,

I saw your feed info on another blog and immediately clicked over. I am so happy for your family, but especially you. God does answer prayers when His time is right. I hope, like Rania, that this move raises your spirits and helps w/the depression you have been experiencing.

Don't forget to get some rest and remember to throw/give something away before you move.

Oh, I am happy to hear that you are moving closer to family!
I was hoping to meet you - a fellow Montereyan also new to the area...but I just wanted you to know that it was a breath of fresh air to find your blog here online when I first moved here. You never know when your blog may be giving someone else hope.
So glad that things worked out for your husband's job in Oregon and that your kids will have the blessing of growing up nearby grandparents and family. What a blessing! I can't wait to go visit mine soon. Blessings on your move!
