Lets Read.

Leif suggested the other day that we start reading together a few nights a week. We had tried to do this last year before Riley was born but it didn't happen. This time around though its happening! And I'm loving it. Its weird it didn't happen sooner since we are both big readers and brought lots of books into our marriage:) Nothing better than sitting on the couch with your husband, under blankets, reading Macbeth and eating snacks. Its my favorite when we pause for a minute to repeat a section or quote a line. Its so relaxing and such a good way to spend time together. I'm also taking part of my time during the day to read Leif's books... Quiet time is always nice.

What are you currently reading? And what books do you suggest?

Some of Matt and my happiest times are when we get into a good book together. We love reading C.S. Lewis because it always sparks lovely discussions. It really is the best sort-of thing to do in the fall, isn't it?

A Heartbreaking Work Of Staggering Genius by Dave Eggers. Can't wait to see what he's done with Where The Wild Things Are

My hubby and I watch a lot of movies together! But on vacation this year we did some reading too.

We both read After Dark by Haruki Murakami (not as good as The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, which is one of my all-time favourites) and I read The Accidental by Ali Smith, which I highly recommend!

I just picked up Eve by Elissa Elliott, it's a fictional novel, but it's based on a deeper look at "The First Woman", I'm very excited to get into it!

I would also absolutely recommend The Time Traveler's Wife.
