If you enjoy tea...

...then you might enjoy this:) I stumbled across this one the blog Happiness Is... and I loved it so much I wanted to share. I'm not a tea drinker but my husband is. When I saw this I immedietly showed him. He loved it. And I wish I drank tea just so I could use these teabags.

Nathalia Ponomareva, an artist from Russia, designed the tea bags to expand into birds (very oragami like) when seeped in water. Brilliant! I tried to find more information about the designer, but no such luck. All the links google gave me were to blogs raving about this tea bag design:)

Eggs & lights

Just a quick silly post:)

First I made these amazing eggs today with bell peppers and cheese. So good!

And second we got these amazing lights for our apartment. I love them. Leif picked them out. As he does with mostly everything we have in our home... They're great.

I love how they just hang there, wires and bulbs exposed. Its so colorful and quirky.
I love quirky. I was afraid the decorating was becoming a bit too Pottery Barn-ish, and the lights totally tone that down. Yes. Win.

Moorea Seal.

We have a good friend Curtis who has started making beautiful necklaces with his lovely girlfriend Moorea Seal. Curtis works with the wood and Moorea does the rest. You can buy them at her Etsy shop. Here are some of my favorites:

Moorea is probably one of the most creative people I know. I'm pretty sure she does every type of art out there... Drawing, Watercolor, photography, music, etc. And every art she does, she does well. Here are some examples of her work:

Brilliant!

Pictures of Riley's Room

Margaret wanted me to take some pictures of Riley's room to post on here. I just snapped a couple the other day, and though I'm not that happy w/ the quality of the pics, at least you'll get an idea of what her room looks like. It's turned out really well, although it'd be nice if we could paint one of the walls or something. We're hoping to add this tree wall decal in the near future...

The blanket and wall decor is by Amenity, which you can find on designpublic.com. We found the fox lamp at Urban Outfitters for $10, and the shade (as well as the dresser) is from Ikea.

Some incredible wall paper.

I found this wall paper on designpublic.com today. It's an amazing site. Yes, it's a little pricey, but you'll be pressed to find a better site for decorating your home. Each of these are panels that can be placed next to each other seamlessly in whichever configuration you like. They're made by SUM. I can't wait to have a home to decorate, and the funds to do so...
